About Me
Hello, I’m Jovany Cota.
I am an aspiring GIS analyst/technician from Los Angeles, CA, with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, specializing in geographic information science (GIS), from the University of California, Santa Barbara (Class of 2022). I am passionate about leveraging my experience in GIS to drive innovative solutions and contribute to projects.
Currently, I am employed as a Data Quality Assurance lead for TEKsystems, where I am a contractor for Apple. I have held this position since December 2024 and I am currently in the process of applying to graduate school so I can obtain my masters degree in GIScience. Although my current position is unrelated to GIS, I have learned valuable team/project management skills, as well as experience working with large sets of data.
